Once upon a time there was a young girl who had her whole life before her. However, then an axeman came along and cut away much of her heart and soul by destroying the love of her life. She battled through only then to be faced with illness of both the mind and body. At her very lowest, she considered ending her life as she no longer had the heart to keep breathing and living.

However, at that point she discovered truths about herself that she had never seen before. She learnt these through the voices of Wisdom and Kindness who came into her life, supporting and guiding her through the choppiest of seas.

During that time she began to make up stories sharing what Life and Wisdom had taught her, for she knew that stories have a way to reach and heal in a way that words alone can never do. She wove her experiences through these stories in the hope that others might find them to be a blanket of comfort in their chill times.

Today she is healed from those terrible times and longs to help others by sharing what helped her. She cannot go back to those times and remember the degree of pain she suffered, in the same way as a mother remembers that there was terrible pain during her labour but its severity cannot be recalled.

However, she knows that during that long night of the soul, she did give birth to stories which can help others as they helped restore her. That is why she does this work. To be with others in their labour, knowing that something of real worth will be birthed at the end of this painful time.
